SD IT Support (formerly SD Reliance) was founded in 2013 by Sara Baker and Dennis Krohn Jr., who shared a vision and ethic rooted in heart-based IT services that combine care with commercial savvy. We’ve grown over the years thanks to our amazing customers and team; we’re here to make a difference as providers of a service that often turns people off. We want IT to be lovable, exciting, and empowering! That’s our mission.

Dennis has been an entrepreneur his entire life. He’s been hustling since his teenage years when he launched his first successful business alongside his father, Dennis Sr. With a lifelong passion for all things tech, he’s turned his love for gadgets and problem-solving into a career as an IT guru for SMBs. Since co-founding SD Reliance with Sara in 2013, Dennis has made it his mission to help dental offices stay ahead of the curve in today’s fast-paced tech world.

Dennis knows that businesses need technology that performs efficiently. Whether it’s seamlessly integrating management software or enhancing cybersecurity to protect critical data, Dennis is the go-to expert for tech transformations. He’s all about making the process smooth, so your daily operations run like a well-oiled machine, with no tech issues holding you back.

But it’s not just about the tech—Dennis is known for his friendly, hands-on approach. He’s a face-to-face kind of guy, and he loves building relationships with clients, figuring out their unique challenges, and delivering solutions that work.

When he’s not immersed in the world of IT, Dennis is all about family time with his wife, Sara (but not his partner Sara – they know, it’s confusing!). He’s a proud dad and coaches his son’s baseball team, keeping the energy high both on and off the field. Faith is a big part of Dennis’ life, shaping both his personal and professional values. And when he’s not troubleshooting or coaching, you’ll probably find him staying active and enjoying a good workout before the sun is up.

Biography

Sara’s career journey began in 2003 at a small office in Goleta, CA, where she quickly realized her knack for organization and financial systems. By 2006, she discovered her true calling in billing and finance. In 2013, alongside Dennis, she launched SD Reliance (now SD Solutions!), where she’s been excelling in the world of financial management ever since.

Sara’s expertise? Developing efficient financial systems, forensic auditing, and managing business transitions. She’s a master at building streamlined processes, ensuring every dollar counts, and facilitating seamless transitions for businesses changing ownership. With her eye for detail, Sara transforms financial challenges into calm, organized solutions, and her investigative skills mean no mystery remains unsolved on her watch.

Sara’s approach is a mix of hard work, unwavering integrity, and attention to detail. She tackles the toughest tasks first, embracing her (and Mark Twain’s) motto, “Eat the frog.” With positivity, strong ethics, and her love for exclamation points, she’s built lasting relationships with clients who appreciate her dedication and results.

Outside of work, Sara is all about enjoying life to the fullest. She named her daughters, Penny and Abbey, after favourite Beatles songs and loves every new adventure with her husband, Matt. Whether it’s coffee-fueled runs, horror movie marathons, spontaneous tattoos, or hopping on a plane to a random destination, Sara’s zest for life shines just as brightly as her passion for her work.

Spencer’s love affair with computers started early—at age 15, he was already building his own rigs to power his gaming sessions. A former semi-professional Counter-Strike player for three years, he turned his passion for gaming into a full-fledged love for fixing and optimizing technology. After earning his Network+ certification, Spencer landed a role at SD IT Support and began his professional IT career, quickly becoming an invaluable part of our team in ensuring dental offices run smoothly behind the scenes.

In his role as Technical Alignment Manager, Spencer keeps a keen eye on the ever-changing IT landscape. His mission? To stay one step ahead of tech challenges, continually growing his knowledge and skillset to ensure clients’ systems are always up-to-date and running like a well-oiled machine. Whether it’s troubleshooting issues or implementing new technology, Spencer’s focus is always on keeping customers happy and their technology healthy.

Spencer’s got a knack for making IT accessible and keeping things running smoothly, but he’s also known for his clear communication and customer-centric approach. He’s passionate about creating seamless, stress-free experiences for clients, making sure their tech does exactly what it’s supposed to—and then some.

Outside of work, Spencer is a huge baseball and basketball fan. His family has been loyal St. Louis Cardinals fans for over 100 years, and that team spirit runs deep! Whether he’s catching a game or spending time with friends and family, Spencer brings the same energy and passion to his personal life as he does to his career.

Biography

Jessica Von Rembow is the ultimate go-to person for clients at SD IT Support. As the Client Liaison, she’s all about building relationships, ensuring clients are happy and heard, and making sure their questions are answered and their concerns addressed. She’s a master at gathering feedback and turning it into actionable strategies that keep SD IT Support at the top of its game. Jessica also loves collaborating with internal teams to solve problems and come up with creative solutions. Always expanding her knowledge across the board, she’s constantly finding new ways to offer even more value to clients.

With almost 15 years of experience in her field, Jessica’s seen it all. She’s worked across various industries, with a focus on specialized areas that require detailed attention and expertise. Her background in management and consulting has given her a deep understanding of business solutions, transitions, and special projects—making her a true asset to the team. Jessica’s unique blend of expertise allows her to provide clients with the guidance they need to navigate complex challenges and achieve their goals.

Jessica’s leadership style is a mix of servant leadership, situational leadership, and transformational leadership. She knows how to adapt to any situation while inspiring those around her. She’s dedicated to empowering others, whether she’s working with clients or collaborating with her team, and her positive, can-do attitude is contagious.

Born and raised in Sacramento, Jessica loves soaking up life outside of work. You can find her paddleboarding, cooking up a storm in the kitchen, or hitting the Pilates mat. Her husband, two kids and dogs are always by her side, whether she’s adventuring or relaxing at home. With a love for travel, Jessica is always ready for her next adventure. Jessica brings so much positivity and energy to the team—we’re lucky to have her as part of our crew!

LaRae is the driving force behind the seamless operations at SD IT Support. Her specialty? Blending creativity with flawless coordination to ensure everything runs smoothly. Whether she’s implementing company-wide strategies or overseeing the day-to-day flow of operations, LaRae’s eye for detail and her ability to juggle multiple projects at once make her an invaluable part of the team. Her creativity and problem-solving skills allow her to approach challenges from fresh angles, coming up with innovative solutions that keep the business efficient and forward-moving. (She’s magical.)

Beyond her creative talents, LaRae is a powerhouse of skills that make her the ultimate operations manager. She has sharp communication abilities, which enable her to work effectively with everyone—from clients to team members—ensuring everyone’s on the same page. Her critical thinking and analytical skills make her an incredible problem solver, able to tackle complex issues with ease. LaRae is known for being a straight shooter, bringing honesty and ethics to every decision. With a strong sense of teamwork, she’s not only dependable but also a joy to work with, leading the team with openness and positivity.

When LaRae first joined SD IT Support in 2015, she didn’t have an IT background, but she quickly became one of the team’s most reliable and valued members. In 2016, LaRae’s Air Force husband and her family were deployed to Ramstein, Germany, leaving a LaRae-shaped spot in the company and our hearts. Thankfully, fate brought her back to the U.S., and we are beyond lucky to have her leading operations again.

LaRae has a serious case of wanderlust and took full advantage of her time in Europe, visiting cities all over the continent. While she can’t pick a favorite, she’ll narrow it down to Amsterdam, Malaga, Kilkenny, or London (with the occasional day trip to Paris, of course!). When she’s not jet-setting, LaRae loves spending time with her husband, Kyle, and her two kids, Ashlyn and Hayden. She’s also a crafting queen and a highly skilled at sewing… honestly, we’re all kind of mad at how amazing she is. Don’t tell her and make it weird, though.
